I had a great time at the MINI Downtown Launch party in Toronto last night!
They had a live DJ pumping up the energy level, they were serving my favourite drinks (Negroni!!) and had a free food truck! Oh and of course there were MINIs! The entire showroom was cleared out other than the new F56 MINI, a 2002 R50 Cooper and a 1973 Classic Mini.
Charles, sales manager at MINI Downtown, said they received over 300 RSVPs from MINI owners, curious BMW owners, and soon-to-be MINI owners.
I just came home from a fantastic day at the Honda Toronto Indy! I have plenty of photos and some special videos to share with you… also some great experiences! Coming soon: need to upload and edit!
Would like to make a quick comment about the state of the website. I’ve had some problems with Blogger (lilcoopr.com was previously hosted at miniac.blogspot.com) and had to abruptly switch to WordPress. Unfortunately the transition happened in a flash to save the archived posts and I haven’t had time to update this site the way I would like to. I have content to share with you: videos, photos, stories and they are not properly reflected here. It’s my promise to you, loyal MINIacs, that I will spend some time tomorrow to share and do the necessary updates!
After 7+ years hosted by Blogger, Confessions of a MINIac has finally made the move to WordPress!
I am very excited for this change as WordPress is a much better blogging platform. I hesitated to make the move because I was worried about losing posts, but WordPress helped me import everything very easily! The pages such as About Me and Motoring Resume will come soon.
Bear with me for any growing pains as I adjust links and everything to work! If you find any broken links or issues before I do, please comment below or get in touch and let me know!
I personally like the large speedo as it gives great character and symmetry to the interior. Unfortunately, “normal public” opinion is not so positive. In fact the public’s negative feelings towards the large iconic MINI speedo have reached the design team and they are going to do it differently this time. Below is an article in Car and Driver that gives a spy snapshot of what we’ll expect for the 2014 MINI interior.
